Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you charge?

My fee structure is pretty simple and is basically three levels, not including materials.

  • Hourly (1 hour min);
  • Half a day (4 hours)
  • Full day (8 hours)

If a project will require more than one day or is going to be more than $1,000, I will provide a detailed quote that includes both materials and labor.

How long have you been in business?

Ready Now Handyman Services is a new business I started after I moved to the Denton area a little over three years ago.  However, I have more than 40 years of experience in all types of woodworking, carpentry and wood turning.  While Ready Now is new, I have been around a long time!

How soon could you start on my project?
I always try keep some open time in my schedule for small projects.  Usually I can respond to your project within just a few days.
Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured and carry Service Contractor liability insurance with State Farm – Policy No. 90-ES-G126-3
Do you charge extra for changes to the project.
It is not uncommon for customer requested changes to arise during the course of the project.  Although the scope of work itemized in the quote may be sufficient for your project, I find it a good practice to plan for 15-20% in possible additional costs.  Typically, changes to the project represent unexpected and unbudgeted expenditures.  These extra expenditures are not part of the original quote.  Any alteration or deviation, requested by the customer which involve extra costs, will be quoted separately and will become an extra charge in addition to the originally submitted quote.  Estimates include applicable State of Texas taxes.
